Visitor Information

Opening times

Our Jail Exhibition, Tearoom, and Gift Shop are open 7 days a week from 9:30am until 6pm (1st Oct – 31st March) and from 9.30am – 8pm (1st April – 30th Sept) Our fully licensed Governors Hall restaurant serves food from noon until 9pm.

Parking & Dogs

We have a small number of car parking spaces available onsite; if they are fully occupied upon your arrival there are several easily accessible Bodmin Town car parks within a short stroll away. The Jail is a ‘Dog Friendly’ attraction; well behaved dogs are allowed throughout the Exhibition, Gift Shop, and Tea Room, but not into our Governors Hall Restaurant.

Regrettably, due to the constraints of the building, we are not a wheelchair-friendly venue, and those with impaired mobility may also find access to some areas difficult. We would recommend calling us in advance to discuss your requirements.
