Can we bring our dog/s to the Jail with us?

We love dogs at Bodmin Jail, and understand that dogs are a big part of the family and your holiday here in Cornwall.

However, we believe dogs would not enjoy the nature of the new ‘Dark Walk’ and jail experience and for their health and wellbeing we have taken the decision to not allow dogs into the new attraction. Well-behaved dogs will still be welcome in the Courtyard, diner and any outdoor area.

We don’t want you to miss out during your visit here at Bodmin Jail, so we do recommend leaving dogs at home so as not to restrict you. To assist with your planning, we estimate the Bodmin Jail experience to last between 1.5 and 2 hours.

Any dogs must not be left unattended or tied up and we ask that you pick up any dog mess. Following advice from the RSCPA, we do not advocate leaving dogs in cars whilst visiting the Jail. Please note that Registered Assistance Dogs are allowed into all parts of the attraction.
