Spellbound: An After Dark Event
This September, Bodmin Jail invites guests to experience a unique After Dark event with a witchcraft twist. Blending Cornwall’s folklore, history, and the paranormal, Spellbound transports visitors into a world of spells, superstition, and spirits within the jail’s haunted walls.
The Night
Guests will begin with a protection ritual before exploring the jail through immersive activities such as
- protection circles
- scrying
- pendulum divination
- led spirit guide meditation
- spirit writing
The night ends with a closing banishing ceremony, ensuring all energies are released before departure.
What is Spellbound?
Unlike a traditional ghost hunt, Spellbound is an experiential journey into the fears and folklore of Cornwall’s past — designed to introduce you into the world of Witchcraft & Spirit, where we will use more traditional witch-style methods of spirit communication and connecting with the paranormal.
Don’t forget to bring a notebook and pen — you may want to record your experiences, observations, and insights as the night unfolds.
Replacing standard After Dark
This event replaces the After Dark every Saturday throughout September for Season of the Witch. For regular After Darks please book a Friday session.
